Troop 2 welcomes contributions to its four Scholarship Funds.

The Keith Monroe Scholarship: Named in honor of Troop 2's first scoutmaster, a financial scholarship awarded to a graduating senior who will attend college in the fall, for their contribution to the community, school and our troop. Voted by a panel of assistant scoutmasters and adult leaders and presented at the June Court of Honor.

The Steve Marcy High Adventure Award: Established in January 1999 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of being the Troop 2 Scoutmaster. Awarded to an Alumni Eagle Scout, all expenses paid to participate as an adult leader and role model in the Troop 2 high adventure summer camp. Selected by Dr. Marcy and the Chairman of the Parents' Committee.

The Parent and Alumni Scholarship: Established in the summer of 1999 as a vehicle to receive outside contributions. The scholarship fund provides partial financial assistance for scouts to attend troop activities, camps or trips if required and assuming the criteria is met. The scout must be at the expected grade level/rank, must have strong attendance, display scout spirit at all times, and considered a good troop participant.

The General Fund: This fund is used to help subsidize the many activities that Troop 2 participates in including the annual ski trip and the enormous expenses of summer camp.

Have you had a great year in our troop or are you an Alumni fondly remembering your days in Troop 2? You can help by making a financial contribution. Contact Parent Committee Chair John Hart. Or simply mail your donation to Mrs. Kathy Ishler, Troop 2 - Treasurer, 2314 Pearl Street, Santa Monica, CA 90405. Your contribution can be directed to any of the scholarship funds outlined below or to the general fund.

Troop 2 is an Open Organization.

Troop Expenses
If you wish to make an expenditure to be reimbursed by the troop, you must first clear it with a member of the Finance Committee which is comprised of: Ken Sleeper, Kathy Ishler, John Hart, and Dr. Marcy.

Troop Dues
Dues are $75 per year and $100 per family if more than one scout is a member. Dues help pay for camp fees at weekend camping trips and troop merit badge awards. No financial assistance is available for dues or the annual ski trip. Some summer camp financial assistance is available if Troop criteria is met.
